Friday Feeling - BOSS playlist

As a busy week comes to an end, the staff at BOSS HQ have picked their favourite feel good weekend tunes for a Friday playlist on our brand new Spotify channel.

Here's what we picked and why:

Richard - Casting Booker
Temper Trap – Sweet Disposition
Tune of the century! I think I may have sat with Jennie in the early hours of the morning at Lauren's once playing endless tunes on her iMac and this is one I remember!

Tristan – Model Booker Junior Division
Boston – More than a feeling
A classic tune that simply can’t fail to get you in a good mood.

Robyn – Casting Booker
Beyonce – Freakum Dress
This is my jam! It makes me want to immediately get up and dance with my gurls! Anything Beyonce based would make me happy.

Debra – Managing Director
The Kinks - Days
I’ve been reminiscing so this week so my vote goes to Days by The Kinks, because it reminds me of my Mum and Dad, and I hope my little lad Marcus will think the same way.  Tune in!

Olivia – Junior Division Booker
Luther Vandross – Never Too Much
This is a sing your heart out classic! Love love love, you can’t beat a bit of 80’s soul. If anyone wants a rendition, you know where I am!

Bart – Junior Model Booker
Broncho – It’s On
I just like the riff!

Jennie – Model Booker
Angie Stone – Wish I Didn’t Miss You
This was one of the last songs to be played at Space’s Closing Party in Ibiza last weekend. I had forgotten about it until I heard it recently. A classic.

Jennifer – Accountant
Prayer in C (Robin Schulz Remix)
Here’s a throwback to 2014 which was definitely my song of the summer (well, one of them) – and considering the weather right now I could do with a bit of sunshine!

Here’s an extra one for Harriett too which I think she’ll like:
George Ezra - Budapest
Harriett asked me to listen to Budapest as she thought I’d like it, but then proceeded to text me the same message every time she heard the song for about 6 weeks!  Each time genuinely forgetting she’d already previously asked me to.  It still makes me laugh out loud!

Hayley – Model Booker
Jamiroquai – Little L
Friday with wine yes please!
Crazy P – Stop Space Return.
Get’s me in the mood for going out.

Cath – Head of casting
Joe Cocker – With a Little Help from My Friends
I saw him a few years ago at the Apollo, he was still giving it all…and we all need our friends!

Gareth – Head booker
The Kooks – Ooh La
This songreminds me of being on the bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka, 200mph!

Alex – Social media coordinator
Jamie T – Zombie
Because I can’t wait to go and get a Zombie cocktail in the Northern Quarter tonight.

From indie classics to Ibiza throwbacks, check the playlist on our Spotify now and follow 'BossModelManagement' for future bangers!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...

Is everyone starting to feel a little Christmas-y? Five chocolates down on the advent calendar and 20 days to go until the big fella arrives, the jolly feeling of magical merry-ness and sparkle should be in full swing. If you're not quite feeling there yet, then this 'Fabulously British Christmas' video for Jack Wills featuring Felix should certainly make you tingle with some of that festive excitement.

A different kind of boots

There seems to be a continuing 'boot' theme in our last few posts, maybe it's because we need a new pair.....
Boss Creative Carol McKitty groomed Wayne 'The Hitman' Rooney on today's Short List front cover, celebrating '10 years of giving Premier League defenders concrete boots'.
Bootiful!

These boots are made for walking...

... and that's just what they'll do, one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you. Tanya is one sole sister for Grazia.

Beauty Bazaar

Outside of London, Liverpool is the second most lucrative city in the UK for beauty sales, so it makes perfect sense to open here, the first, pioneering, one-stop-shop for all things bright and beautiful. Known as ‘A Global Beacon of Beauty’, Wednesday’s launch was as glitzy as you can imagine with American socialite and model Olivia Palermo cutting the ribbon, and officially opening this new concept store. In their 1930’s evening attire, Boss models looked as radiant as ever at this star studded event.

Helen Delaney

Friday is quite frankly the favourite day of the week for most, including us at Boss HQ. And what we like to do on a Friday afternoon, in between the many bookings, castings and model 1-2-1’s, is introduce just a little Friday-fun-time, in preparation for the weekend ahead. So what shall we do today we ask? Grill Helen Delaney? Yes, we thought that would be fun too, but not in the cooking sense, as our delicacy that is Delaney- a petite, lean model-booking machine, wouldn’t be enough to feed the fifteen of us here. Helen flew back to the gleeful Boss nest seven months ago following her time booking in both Dubai and London, and now it’s time for that Boss Questioning Mushroom Master and you to get to know her…
What other names do you go by? H, Hels, Hellie but mainly Delaney
If you were an animal then what would you be? Dolphin – for so many reasons!
When you were a little girl what did you want to become in life? RAF Pilot – Seriously!
What’s on your I-pod? All sorts! Everything from classical to trip hop -  Can’t go a week without listening to a Ricky Gervais podcast – guaranteed giggle.
Who do you think is hot stuff? Difficult one! James Franco
If you could cook for us what would it be? Not the best in the kitchen so I would play it safe and make my favourite fajitas - Olé!!!
Which actress would you like to play you in the movie of your life? Comedy then? Has to be Christina Applegate
What are your thoughts on crop circles? Artistic farmers and combine harvesters
If God were a woman what would be the one thing she would change about the world? Equality
Which is the one romance depicted in the movies that you would want to experience in your life? You can’t beat Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ but can I please edit out the death part?
Which magical super power would you like and why? The super power of flight… Why? Obvious… I want to be Super Girl!
Best thing about working at Boss? We’re all nuts (comes with the job) but we’re the best at what we do - Team Boss!
